We are proud of our delivery fleet of trucks including: flatbeds/vans, tractor trailers, boom trucks, truck mountable forklifts and trucks specially designed for window and door transport.

At Iverson’s Lumber, our drivers undergo rigorous training on the safe and proper operations of their vehicles. They are trained to identify delivery site conditions that may pose a potential safety risk to themselves, their delivery vehicle, our customer and customer’s property. Our drivers will opt not to use your driveway or lawn if they know damage will result.
Delivery FAQ’s
Is there a charge for delivery?
YES. There is a nominal charge for deliveries made within a 20 mile radius. Additional fees will be applied to deliveries outside of this radius and some products like masonry goods and oversized items will carry additional fees.
What days can I get a delivery in my area?
Unlike other suppliers, Iverson’s Lumber does not have set weekly routes making you wait until we are in your neighborhood to bring you a delivery. We deliver Monday through Friday to most areas within approximately 25 miles of our locations and offer partial-day delivery service on Saturdays. So, arranging a delivery to your house is as easy as just giving us a call.
Can I get next day delivery?
YES. If you live within a 20 mile radius of the store AND you give us at least 24hrs notice. “Next Day” requests should be called into the store by 12:00 p.m. the day prior. Requests for Monday deliveries must be called in by the previous Friday by 2:00 pm.
What time will my Iverson’s Lumber delivery arrive?
We deliver during normal business hours, Monday-Friday and until mid-afternoon on Saturdays. Unfortunately, due to the nature of deliveries, we can not specify delivery times. Factors such as weather, traffic, delays etc. are unpredictable and can cause all loads to be delayed.
Please Note:
In order to keep the cost of our delivery service low to consumers, we stage our trucks with multiple loads. In some cases, we may be able to deliver to you in the morning and at other times it might not be until later afternoon. You can however, request that our Dispatcher call you when your delivery leaves our yard to give you an approximate arrival time.
Do you offer C.O.D.s—Cash On Delivery?
No. C.O.D.s are the least preferred method of payment and can be problematic. Therefore, we request that you arrange for payment of materials prior to your delivery.
Will the driver place the materials where I want them?
Our drivers will attempt to place their vehicles as close as possible to the unloading point. However, jobsite conditions may impede the placement of our delivery truck on your property. Items that would be damaged by inclement weather will be covered or put into garage areas. For safety reasons, we will not carry goods up or down stairs or place materials throughout a house.
What if there is a problem with the quantity or quality of materials delivered?
We make every effort to make sure your delivery is accurate and of high quality. Any claims of delivery discrepancies must be communicated with your salesperson within 24 hours of receiving your delivery.
Will you set shingles on my roof ?
NO. Due to insurance reasons we cannot place items on building structures (roofs or second floors). We do have some specialty equipment such as boom trucks that may help meet your needs—please talk to your salesperson for further details.
What can I expect with a drywall delivery?
We provide drywall delivery for first, second and third floors in our company owned boom truck.
Can I get my leftover materials picked up?
YES. Normal delivery fees may apply for materials being picked-up and restocked. Any left over materials you have should be protected from the weather to prevent damage. All pickup materials will be subject to inspection by the driver and the final inspection by our Material Checker.
*Anything returned in non-saleable condition will not be credited and will be disposed of.
Customer Responsibilities:
- Clear an area for placement of goods.
- Have ample able-bodied people available to help unload.
- Ensure driveway is clear for delivery truck.
- Have materials delivered a few days ahead of time so you can inspect them.
- Check your estimate carefully to ensure you’ve ordered enough materials to complete the job.
- Know where underground objects are that might interfere with delivery (i.e. location of septic tanks, drainage tile, etc.)

Blueprint Quotes and Estimates
Professional contractors have come to rely upon our experienced sales staffs to provide support services such as plan take-offs and sales estimating. We are experts at estimating and we’ll be happy to quote from your blueprints or drawings. When you need an estimate on a house or a major renovation project, you’ll get it fast and accurately. That means of course, that you will be able to give your customer a precise quote without delay.
Job Site Sale Calls
We have specialists who will come to your construction site to conduct on-the-job field measurements for windows and trim packages. Also to help you with kitchens, doors, roofing, siding, stairs, lumber needs and more.
Decking Design Service
Iverson’s Lumber has the ability to do computerized deck design and estimates. Our professional deck designers will print a drawing of your deck, explain material options, and finish it off with stairs, railings and balusters to fit your taste and budget.
Kitchen Design Services
Iverson’s will assist you with your kitchen and bath ideas, measurements and plans. You can make an appointment or drop in so we can help make your dream kitchen or bath become a reality. From basic builder brands to semi-custom and full custom kitchens. Our staffs use an advanced computer design system that can print you out a layout of your new kitchen or bath. You may take and review the layout with your builder and make any modifications you wish.

Policies & Procedures
Special Orders
While we carry an extensive inventory, some things must be built to order. Trusses, I-joists, windows, and doors are just a few of the items we can have built to your specific needs. Special orders have a minimum required lead time that varies, depending on the item being ordered. Be sure to factor the lead time into your order cycle so the goods are onsite when you are ready for them.
Many special orders require a deposit at the time of order, are non-cancelable and cannot be returned for a refund. You must sign a Special Order Authorization as evidence that you acknowledge and understand this policy and authorize Iverson’s Lumber to place the order on your behalf. You will be responsible for full payment of the special order if it cannot be returned.
Returns
Except for special order items, most merchandise can be returned, assuming it meets the following conditions:
- it is not a special order item;
- it is in its original condition;
- and it has not been modified, cut, installed or removed from protective packaging.
Estimates
While we make every effort to be complete and thorough in our estimates, they are still just estimates, so they are not binding. Our estimates are designed solely to provide the contractor/consumer with a rough estimate of the amount of material used in the given project. The material estimate will be based on calculations or data provided by the contractor/customer and such estimate assumes, among other things, normal and typical building and construction techniques. The actual amount of material used may vary from the material estimate due to a number of factors. Consequently, no representation or warranty has been made that the actual amount of material used will not vary from the estimate. Be aware that the best estimates and quotes fall apart when you have delays and start making changes. The later in the process you make changes, the more they can cost.
Credit Application
You will need to fill out an Iverson’s Lumber Credit Application and submit it for approval. The Credit Application documents the agreement between you and Iverson’s Lumber about payment terms, service charges, payment due dates, and other items as stated on the application. It also allows you to list those people who are authorized to make purchases against the account. Notice of Commencement
Iverson’s Lumber needs a copy of a Notice of Commencement for your project. The Michigan Lien Law requires a Notice of Commencement be present on each construction site. A Notice of Commencement provides valuable information for suppliers, subcontractors, and laborers about the job.
Normally, the Notice includes the name and address of the owner, the name and address of the General Contractor (if there is one), the legal description of the property, and the name and address of the designee if there is one. A designee is a person or institution designated by the owner to deal with any and all legal matters pertaining to the project. The law does not allow the General Contractor to act as the designee.
